Ghana’s premier local mobile phone assemblers, rLG, have launched a fiery marketing strategy as they name Nollywood’s film magic Desmond Elliot as an ambassador for their latest baby, the L9 iphone.
Preparations towards the launch of the L9 iphone sometime in September, alongside the premiering of Desmond’s ‘Holding Hope and Bursting Out’, is set to be an explosive affair in Accra, a similar one having been already held in Abuja, Nigeria.
The Ghanaian chapter of the launch, the icing of the cake, is the grand finale which would be covered by high-notched Cable News Network, CNN, according to affable Roland Agambire.
Mr. Roland Agambire is a master business strategist whose newfound friendship with Nollywood is a fantastic way of finding a niche market in an insatiable environment. “You must be ready to produce for such a large market before going in there. We shall land there when everything is set,” he said with his usual confidence.
The L9’s global appeal, Roland states, would make it a must possession for all who cherish an iphone with all the features of gadgets in that class and more, alongside relatively lower prices than others in its category of sophistication. rLG is a growing phenomenon in the telecommunications industry in Ghana today as it makes waves on the local market and even looking beyond the country’s borders.
“We are churning out 200,000 mobile phones monthly and recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kasapa towards a very important business deal, details of which would be out in the not too distant future,” he said in an exclusive interview.
